Empowering Young Women in STEM
On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, a dynamic group of 8th-grade Panther students took part in the 20th annual “Women in Science” conference, hosted at Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls. The event, which ran from 8:45 AM to 2 PM, attracted over 900 students from across the region, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of inspiration and learning.
Exploring Opportunities
The conference featured more than 20 engaging exhibits designed to spark interest in science and technology among young women. Participants had the opportunity to attend presentations, interact with professionals, and explore various pathways towards careers in these vital fields. This initiative not only highlighted the importance of women in STEM but also aimed to encourage young girls to envision themselves in these roles.
