ESCANABA — Recently, the Escanaba P.E.O. Chapter EE marked a significant milestone, celebrating its 45th anniversary. This chapter is part of P.E.O. International, a women’s organization dedicated to offering educational opportunities for women.
Currently comprising 35 members, Chapter EE convenes on a monthly basis to strategize fundraising efforts aimed at supporting scholarships, grants, awards, and loans. These initiatives are designed to empower women by promoting lifelong learning.
A special luncheon was held at the Escanaba Country Club, attracting numerous attendees, including members who have relocated and representatives from the group’s sister organization, Chapter Z from Escanaba. Among the attendees were three original charter members: Cindy Bush, Ruthie Vinette, and Cilla Green, who were instrumental in establishing the chapter 45 years ago.
