Numan Secures $60 Million to Expand Telehealth Services
Numan, a leading telehealth platform in the United Kingdom known for its focus on men’s health, has successfully raised $60 million in a recent funding round. This financial boost aims to enhance its offerings in men’s health services while also marking an entry into women’s health.
Investment Details
The funding round was spearheaded by Big Pi Ventures and Endeavor Catalyst, with participation from existing investors White Star Capital and Novator. Additionally, HSBC Innovation Banking UK contributed $27 million as growth capital. While specific details about the entire funding round remain undisclosed, reports suggest that it included a $30 million equity investment, extending the company’s Series B round.
Service Portfolio and Future Plans
Since its establishment in 2018, Numan has primarily concentrated on men’s health, offering solutions such as GLP-1 weight-loss medications (including Mounjaro and Wegovy), erectile dysfunction (ED) treatments, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), personalized blood testing, and dietary supplements. With the new funding, Numan intends to:
- Expand its operational footprint across the U.K.
- Enhance existing men’s health services
- Introduce hormone-focused health solutions for women
- Develop an AI-powered health coaching platform
- Grow its international team, with plans to extend operations into Greece
Growth and Market Position
In a LinkedIn announcement regarding the funding, Numan’s founder and CEO, Sokratis Papafloratos, outlined the company’s significant evolution over the past 18 months. “We now serve both men and women. Obesity care has become a big part of our platform, and we’ve built a world-class, AI-powered health coach that is already delivering meaningful results,” he said. According to Papafloratos, Numan has treated over 650,000 patients to date, achieving revenues that more than doubled to over $90 million in 2024, which marks the company’s first profitable year. Numan aims for 150% growth in 2025.
Competitive Landscape
As Numan prepares to expand its range of services, it will face competition from other telehealth platforms, including Hims & Hers, which recently acquired Zava to strengthen its presence in Western Europe. The telehealth industry is becoming increasingly competitive, indicating a robust marketplace for innovative healthcare solutions.
