Norwegian Volleyball Star Lucy Lotta Jürgensen Joins the Women’s Volleyball Program
The women’s volleyball program is set to welcome international talent as Norwegian athlete Lucy Lotta Jürgensen commits to the team for the upcoming season. Hailing from Øksnes in Vesterålen, Jürgensen has been a rising star in the volleyball scene, representing Norway on both youth and junior national teams since 2021.
With a solid foundation in the sport, Jürgensen has played for ToppVolley Norge from 2022 to 2025 and has been an integral part of her home club, Øksil, since 2017. As a remarkable 6’1″ outside and opposite hitter, she has showcased her prowess on the court, earning medals and accolades during her journey.
Achievements and Recognitions
Throughout her volleyball career, Jürgensen has garnered impressive achievements. She brought home a bronze medal with the youth national team at the NEVZA championships in 2021 and followed up with a silver medal in 2022. In 2024, she continued her success by winning a bronze with the junior national team at the same championship.
Additionally, Jürgensen achieved a silver medal at the Norwegian Senior National Championships in 2025. Her team, ToppVolley Norge, also made a significant impact by finishing in the top eight at the School World Championships held in Belgrade in 2024.
