This afternoon, the Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team will kick off its home season in Vandament Arena, facing St. Cloud State University. This matchup marks an exciting time for the Wildcats, who have developed an impressive 5-0 record, currently ranked No. 15 by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

The Wildcats demonstrated their strength last weekend with decisive victories at neutral-site games in Wisconsin Dells. They defeated Upper Iowa 95-40 before overcoming Lewis University with a score of 66-54. Jacy Weisbrod led the scoring against Upper Iowa with a standout performance of 22 points, helping ensure that all 15 players contributed to the scoreboard.
