North Dakota State Women’s Golf Achieves Top Five Finish at Yellowstone Intercollegiate
In a commendable performance at the Yellowstone Intercollegiate, held at Riverside Country Club, the North Dakota State (NDSU) women’s golf team improved their standing to secure a tie for fourth place. The Bison finished with a total score of +19, sharing the spot with California Baptist University.
Highlights from the Tournament
Avery Bartels emerged as a standout player for NDSU, recording a career-best round of 68 thanks to five birdies, 12 holes at par, and only one bogey, bringing her total to +1 overall. Bartels’ performance elevated her 16 positions up the leaderboard, ultimately placing her in a tie for 10th with a final score of 217.
Another notable competitor, Norah Roberts, finished just outside the top ten in a tie for 13th place. Her cumulative score of 218 included two birdies and 13 holes at par, reflecting her consistent play throughout the tournament.
Additional Placements
Cora Larson and Madi Hicks also contributed solidly to the team’s overall performance. Larson completed the event tied for 27th place at +8, finishing the final round with three birdies. Meanwhile, Hicks concluded the tournament with a score of +10, finishing in a tie for 29th place.
Lily Vincelli rounded out the Bison’s roster at the event, finishing tied for 60th with a score of +25.
