The North Dakota State (NDSU) women’s basketball team, currently holding a 3-2 record, is set to travel to Jacksonville, Florida, for the Osprey Thanksgiving Classic. The Bison will compete against Campbell (4-3) on Friday and will face Bethune-Cookman (1-4) on Saturday. Both games will tip off at 10:00 a.m. CT at the UNF Arena, hosted by North Florida.

Bison Basketball Radio Show
Every Monday throughout the season, broadcast from the Holiday Inn Fargo, the Bison Basketball Radio Show will feature both men’s head coach David Richman and women’s head coach Jory Collins. The show, airing from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., invites fans to attend in person and engage with the hosts, Sam Neidermann and Andy Rieckhoff, as they review Bison basketball’s past week and preview future matchups. Upcoming show dates in December include December 1, December 8, and December 30.

In their last game, the Bison secured an 83-72 victory over Tulane, with standout performances from Avery Koenen, who scored 22 points, and Marisa Frost, who reached a season-high of 19 points. The Bison demonstrated a solid inside game, matching a season-high with 50 points in the paint and scoring 25 points off turnovers.

This weekend marks the first-ever encounters between NDSU and both Campbell and Bethune-Cookman.
Upcoming Road Schedule
After facing Tulane, the Bison are set to play six of their next seven games away from home. Their only home game during this stretch will be against Montana State on December 3, part of the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge.
Avery Koenen: Peak Performer
Avery Koenen has been a highlighted performer, posting her second consecutive 20-point game against Tulane. She recorded 22 points with an impressive shooting accuracy of 73.9 percent, leading the Summit League and ranking second nationally.
In another high-pressure matchup against Nebraska, Koenen led the scoring with 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Her performance established her as the highest scorer against a power four opponent since Emily Moran’s 28 points in 2007.
Coaching Achievements
Head coach Jory Collins recently celebrated his 100th career win at NDSU, the highest number of victories in NDSU’s Division I history. He further achieved his 300th career win last week.

Preseason Polls and Recognitions
The Bison were forecasted to finish second in the Summit League Preseason Poll, amassing 498 total points and earning two first-place votes. They are also receiving votes in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll.
Avery Koenen and Jocelyn Schiller were named to the All-Summit League Preseason First Team, with Marisa Frost featured on the Second Team. Koenen has also been included in the preseason watch list for the 2026 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award.
