Upcoming Matchups

The North Dakota State (NDSU) women’s basketball team, currently holding a 3-2 record, is set to travel to Jacksonville, Florida, for the Osprey Thanksgiving Classic. The Bison will compete against Campbell (4-3) on Friday and will face Bethune-Cookman (1-4) on Saturday. Both games will tip off at 10:00 a.m. CT at the UNF Arena, hosted by North Florida.

Game Coverage Information

Fans can tune in to the games via radio as there will be no live video stream available. Andy Rieckhoff will provide play-by-play commentary for both matchups on Bison 1660, with pregame coverage starting at 9:30 a.m. CT. Additionally, the radio broadcast can be accessed for free on GoBison.com/allaccess and through the NDSU Athletics mobile app.

Live statistics and audio links can also be found at GoBison.com/coverage.

Bison Basketball Radio Show

Every Monday throughout the season, broadcast from the Holiday Inn Fargo, the Bison Basketball Radio Show will feature both men’s head coach David Richman and women’s head coach Jory Collins. The show, airing from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., invites fans to attend in person and engage with the hosts, Sam Neidermann and Andy Rieckhoff, as they review Bison basketball’s past week and preview future matchups. Upcoming show dates in December include December 1, December 8, and December 30.

Recent Performance

In their last game, the Bison secured an 83-72 victory over Tulane, with standout performances from Avery Koenen, who scored 22 points, and Marisa Frost, who reached a season-high of 19 points. The Bison demonstrated a solid inside game, matching a season-high with 50 points in the paint and scoring 25 points off turnovers.

Series History

This weekend marks the first-ever encounters between NDSU and both Campbell and Bethune-Cookman.

Upcoming Road Schedule

After facing Tulane, the Bison are set to play six of their next seven games away from home. Their only home game during this stretch will be against Montana State on December 3, part of the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge.

Avery Koenen: Peak Performer

Avery Koenen has been a highlighted performer, posting her second consecutive 20-point game against Tulane. She recorded 22 points with an impressive shooting accuracy of 73.9 percent, leading the Summit League and ranking second nationally.

In another high-pressure matchup against Nebraska, Koenen led the scoring with 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Her performance established her as the highest scorer against a power four opponent since Emily Moran’s 28 points in 2007.

Coaching Achievements

Head coach Jory Collins recently celebrated his 100th career win at NDSU, the highest number of victories in NDSU’s Division I history. He further achieved his 300th career win last week.

Player Highlights

  • Avery Koenen and Jocelyn Schiller are the only Bison players to score in double digits in all five games so far this season.
  • Abby Graham is on track to hit her 100th career game, having appeared in 97 contests over four seasons.
  • Karrington Asp, averaging 11.0 points per game off the bench, has scored in double figures in four games this season.

Preseason Polls and Recognitions

The Bison were forecasted to finish second in the Summit League Preseason Poll, amassing 498 total points and earning two first-place votes. They are also receiving votes in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll.

Avery Koenen and Jocelyn Schiller were named to the All-Summit League Preseason First Team, with Marisa Frost featured on the Second Team. Koenen has also been included in the preseason watch list for the 2026 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award.

Next Steps

NDSU will return to action next against Montana State on December 3 for the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge. The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT.
