St. Olaf College Women’s Basketball Defeated by Martin Luther College
NEW ULM, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women’s basketball team faced a challenging game against Martin Luther College on Tuesday night, suffering a 59-40 loss in a non-conference matchup held at the Luther Student Center.

The Oles (3-2) initially led the contest with a score of 21-19 at halftime, but the Knights (4-2) turned the tide in the second half, scoring a dominant 49 points while limiting St. Olaf to just 19. This defeat marked the first victory for Martin Luther over St. Olaf since November 22, 1994, ending a streak of 11 consecutive wins by the Oles in their series.

First-year players Erin Schauer and Hallie Koltz each contributed eight points to St. Olaf’s total. Additionally, junior Bree Wilkerson and sophomore Elise Hahn chipped in with seven points each. The team struggled offensively, finishing the game with a shooting percentage of 34.8% (16-for-46) and being outmatched in the paint, where they were outscored 44-24 by Martin Luther.
For the Knights, Lydia Feidt stood out with an impressive performance, totaling 24 points, 13 rebounds, and seven steals, shooting 11-for-19 from the field. Mya Morris, though less efficient with her shooting (4-for-18), still managed to lead her team with 12 points. Wilhelmina Wenz also contributed significantly, notching eight points, 15 rebounds, and five assists despite shooting 3-for-15.
