In a gripping contest, the Nebraska women’s basketball team mounted a remarkable second-half comeback to secure a 94-90 victory over the Oregon Ducks in overtime. With this win, the Huskers improved to an overall record of 18-9 and 9-7 in the Big Ten Conference, while the Ducks also fell to 18-9 and 9-7 in league play.

Nebraska concluded the first quarter tied with Oregon at 18. By halftime, the Huskers had taken a narrow lead at 40-39.
Entering the fourth quarter down by ten, Nebraska launched a 13-3 run to even the score. Alexis Markowski led the charge with 11 points during this stretch.
Markowski played a pivotal role, scoring the team’s final five points in regulation, including a clutch game-tying three-pointer with just 28 seconds remaining, pushing the game into overtime.
Thrilling Overtime Performance
In the overtime period, Nebraska maintained their offensive momentum. Alberte Rimdal opened with a three-pointer, followed by another from Markowski and two crucial shots from Callin Hake in the last minute, ensuring a five-point lead for the Huskers.

Oregon managed to narrow the gap with a layup, but Markowski’s free throw made it a two-possession game. The Ducks failed to convert three final attempts within the last 20 seconds, sealing Nebraska’s victory.
Overall, the Huskers shot 45.3% from the field, including an impressive 15-of-29 from three-point range, while the Ducks shot 49.3%, making 12-of-27 threes.
Markowski’s Standout Performance
Alexis Markowski had a remarkable game, scoring a career-high 35 points, hitting 6-of-9 from beyond the arc, and grabbing 15 rebounds, achieving her program-leading 50th career double-double.
