Lehigh Women’s Golf Team Leads at Autumn Harvest Tournament
LOPATCONG, N.J. – The Lehigh women’s golf team has set a new benchmark by achieving back-to-back program record low rounds of three over par 287, leading the 36-hole Autumn Harvest tournament held at Architects Golf Club. With a total score of 574, the Mountain Hawks hold a two-stroke advantage over second-place Quinnipiac in a competitive nine-team field.
Previous Records Surpassed
This achievement surpasses Lehigh’s previous team low round of 290, which was recorded in September 2022 during the Hornet Classic at the Creek in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Individual Player Highlights
Individually, Lehigh has performed impressively, with four players sitting in the top positions. Sophomore Reese Hannon and junior Stefania Fedun are tied for third place at even par 142. Hannon’s rounds of 70 and 72 featured eight birdies, including five during her morning round. Conversely, Fedun recorded three birdies in each round, as well as an eagle on the par 5 11th hole in her first round.
Senior Yuki Zhu is in fifth place with a score of two over par 144 (73-71). Zhu made 26 pars along with four birdies, gaining momentum with three birdies in her second round.
Making her college debut, first-year Bridget Yu is currently in seventh place with a score of 146 (72-74). Yu’s rounds included six birdies, evenly split between both rounds.
Completing the scoring for Lehigh, sophomore Alana Hall is tied for 28th place at 157 (82-75). Hall finished strong, making five birdies, four of which came in her second round.
Individual Performances as Additional Competitors
Three Mountain Hawks participated as individuals in this tournament. Sienna Mosquera and Alisia Ren, both first-years, performed well, tying for 13th place with scores of 150. Mosquera achieved scores of 77-73, including three birdies, while Ren recorded scores of 76-74, also with three birdies. Junior Bella Scanapicco is tied for 40th place with a score of 167 (83-84), making two birdies in her afternoon round.
Top Competitors from Other Teams
Leading the individual scores from other teams, Sophia Fujita from Quinnipiac has set the pace with a score of -5, 137, followed closely by teammate Samantha Galantini at -2, 140.
Looking Ahead: Final Round
The Autumn Harvest tournament will conclude with the final 18 holes on Tuesday at Architects Golf Club, where the Mountain Hawks aim to maintain their lead and capture the title.
