Bhubaneswar Celebrates Second Installment of Subhadra Yojana
In a heartening development for beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi is set to disburse the second installment of financial support today. This initiative aims to benefit over 1 crore women across the state.
Details of the Distribution Event
The distribution will take place at the Vivek Bihar ground in Ambapua, Berhampur, where approximately 25,000 women are expected to attend. The event will also see participation from various Ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), and Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs).
Recent Financial Support Updates
The fifth phase of the first installment of the Subhadra Yojana has already been credited to the accounts of female beneficiaries. During this phase, over 230,000 new women beneficiaries will receive financial assistance, further empowering women in the region.
Annual Support Structure
Beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana are entitled to receive ₹10,000 annually, distributed in two installments of ₹5,000 each. The fourth phase of the first installment was successfully disbursed on February 8, benefiting over 1.8 million women, showcasing the government’s commitment to supporting women’s financial independence.
Upcoming Initiatives
Looking ahead, the application process for the Subhadra Yojana will conclude on March 31, following which officials will conduct a comprehensive door-to-door survey to ensure all eligible women are accounted for.
