Kavitha Slams Telangana Government for Women’s Safety Concerns
K Kavitha, a Member of the Legislative Council from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has fiercely criticized the Congress-led government in Telangana for its lack of action regarding women’s safety. Her condemnation comes in light of recent reports indicating a worrying 10% rise in crime rates across the state, shedding light on disturbing statistics such as a rape occurring every three hours and a kidnapping every five hours.
In her statements to ANI, Kavitha emphasized the ineffectiveness of initiatives like ‘She Teams’, which were created to combat minor crimes against women. She expressed her dismay at the government’s apparent indifference and urged the Chief Minister to take immediate action to address these pressing issues.
Moreover, Kavitha directed her criticism toward both the Congress party and the BJP, claiming they have neglected the development of the Nizamabad region while failing to deliver on their promises. She implored both the current government and the local BJP MP to refocus their efforts to meet the needs of the citizens of Telangana without delay.
By highlighting these critical concerns, Kavitha aims to rally support for a more proactive stance on women’s safety and community development in the region.
