Global Fintech Innovation Challenge Lead
Contract Type: Part-time, minimum one year

Location: Remote, with travel across Africa, Asia, and the United States

Role Overview
The Challenge Lead will orchestrate a global two-year initiative in collaboration with Accion Ventures, aimed at minimizing risks and enhancing trust in financial services for women. The leader will be responsible for designing and executing the program—from outreach and selection of participants to ongoing support—translating insights into practical tools for financial service providers (FSPs) and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee program logistics: design criteria, manage outreach efforts, provide applicant support, coordinate judges, and ensure a fair selection process.
- Support a cohort of selected financial service providers and document best practices for harm reduction.
- Create case studies based on qualitative and quantitative evidence and develop a Financial Service Provider Playbook.
- Assist in crafting an Investor Toolkit by converting FSP data into practical guidelines.
- Facilitate global workshops and represent GRID in significant forums, embedding feminist and equity-centered principles throughout.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess over eight years of experience in managing multi-country programs in inclusive finance, fintech, consumer protection, or related fields. Proven leadership in running innovation challenges is essential, along with strong skills in facilitation, program management, and an understanding of feminist and ethical design principles. Familiarity with African and Asian markets, human-centered design, and multilingual communication skills are advantageous.
Senior Data Analyst (Women’s Financial Inclusion)
Contract Type: Part-time, one-year contract
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Remote, with occasional travel as necessary

Role Overview
The Senior Data Analyst will spearhead the analysis of diverse datasets pertaining to GRID Impact’s WFI portfolio across key markets like Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Pakistan. The role requires adeptness in managing a range of data types and the ability to seamlessly transition from thorough technical analysis to generating actionable insights for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sophisticated segmentation analyses using various methodologies on diverse datasets.
- Create and maintain analytical pipelines using programming languages such as Python or R, alongside SQL.
- Produce insights related to women’s access to financial services and issues surrounding affordability and consumer protection.
- Design dashboards and develop tools for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL).
- Collaborate closely with researchers and designers to turn evidence into practical recommendations while ensuring ethical data practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidates will have 5–8 years of experience in applied analytics, with proficiency in Python or R and a strong command of SQL. A portfolio showcasing experience with complex data handling and interpretation is necessary. Strong communication skills for translating complex findings into accessible formats are also critical, along with experience in the realms of women’s financial inclusion, mobile money, or digital financial services in low and middle-income contexts.
