Join GRID Impact’s Women’s Financial Inclusion Program: Two Part-Time Opportunities

GRID Impact is actively seeking candidates for two part-time, contract positions within its Women’s Financial Inclusion (WFI) Program. These roles are intended for professionals driven by the desire to create inclusive financial systems that prioritize women globally.

If you are passionate about impactful, evidence-based change and enjoy collaborative work in a mission-centered environment, consider applying for one of the following positions:

  • Global Fintech Innovation Challenge Lead
    • Lead a two-year innovation challenge aimed at improving women’s experiences in financial services.
    • Coach selected financial service providers and develop actionable tools to foster trust and reduce harm.
  • Senior Data Analyst (WFI)
    • Analyze complex datasets to produce insights that drive inclusive finance initiatives.
    • Convert data into segmentation models and decision-making tools for finance partners.

Both positions are designed to allow for remote work, with a requirement for candidates to have availability aligning with GMT–MT time zones and to occasionally travel for important meetings. Each role requires a one-year commitment and is ideal for independent consultants or professionals seeking flexible, purpose-driven opportunities. GRID Impact encourages applications from women, non-binary individuals, and candidates from regions where the organization operates.

Global Fintech Innovation Challenge Lead

Contract Type: Part-time, minimum one year
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Remote, with travel across Africa, Asia, and the United States
Application Deadline: Rolling review until November 30, 2025

Role Overview

The Challenge Lead will orchestrate a global two-year initiative in collaboration with Accion Ventures, aimed at minimizing risks and enhancing trust in financial services for women. The leader will be responsible for designing and executing the program—from outreach and selection of participants to ongoing support—translating insights into practical tools for financial service providers (FSPs) and investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee program logistics: design criteria, manage outreach efforts, provide applicant support, coordinate judges, and ensure a fair selection process.
  • Support a cohort of selected financial service providers and document best practices for harm reduction.
  • Create case studies based on qualitative and quantitative evidence and develop a Financial Service Provider Playbook.
  • Assist in crafting an Investor Toolkit by converting FSP data into practical guidelines.
  • Facilitate global workshops and represent GRID in significant forums, embedding feminist and equity-centered principles throughout.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess over eight years of experience in managing multi-country programs in inclusive finance, fintech, consumer protection, or related fields. Proven leadership in running innovation challenges is essential, along with strong skills in facilitation, program management, and an understanding of feminist and ethical design principles. Familiarity with African and Asian markets, human-centered design, and multilingual communication skills are advantageous.

Senior Data Analyst (Women’s Financial Inclusion)

Contract Type: Part-time, one-year contract
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Remote, with occasional travel as necessary
Application Deadline: Rolling review until November 30, 2025

Role Overview

The Senior Data Analyst will spearhead the analysis of diverse datasets pertaining to GRID Impact’s WFI portfolio across key markets like Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Pakistan. The role requires adeptness in managing a range of data types and the ability to seamlessly transition from thorough technical analysis to generating actionable insights for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct sophisticated segmentation analyses using various methodologies on diverse datasets.
  • Create and maintain analytical pipelines using programming languages such as Python or R, alongside SQL.
  • Produce insights related to women’s access to financial services and issues surrounding affordability and consumer protection.
  • Design dashboards and develop tools for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL).
  • Collaborate closely with researchers and designers to turn evidence into practical recommendations while ensuring ethical data practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidates will have 5–8 years of experience in applied analytics, with proficiency in Python or R and a strong command of SQL. A portfolio showcasing experience with complex data handling and interpretation is necessary. Strong communication skills for translating complex findings into accessible formats are also critical, along with experience in the realms of women’s financial inclusion, mobile money, or digital financial services in low and middle-income contexts.

Why Choose GRID Impact?

Founded in 2014, GRID Impact is a research and innovation collective committed to addressing complex social and economic challenges through behavioral science and human-centered design. The organization collaborates with renowned philanthropic entities including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Open Society Foundations, and others to drive impactful changes in areas like financial inclusion and equity.

With its flexible model, GRID brings together independent consultants from diverse backgrounds to create high-performing teams dedicated to systemic change while working remotely across the globe.

Application Process

Interested applicants should send a single email to [email protected] with the subject line:
