WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – As Wake Forest University continues its collaboration with Truist, an Official Banking Partner of Wake Forest Athletics and the Presenting Partner of Wake Forest Women’s Athletics, the institution shares the latest developments from its women’s sports programs.
Women’s Golf Highlights
The Wake Forest women’s golf team concluded the 2025 season at the NCAA Championship. Despite narrowly missing out on the top-15 cut, the team displayed significant resilience. Junior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen made an impressive debut at the NCAA Championship, posting the lowest round for the Demon Deacons at three-under par. Her strong performance included only two bogeys and five birdies, which propelled her 62 spots up the individual leaderboard.
This season, starting with a pre-season ranking of No. 14, the team surged to No. 7 in the final national poll from Scoreboard. Their consistent excellence is reflected in their results, finishing in the top five in all but one of their 12 competitions. They notably capped off the fall season with consecutive victories at both the Jackson T. Stephens Cup and the Charles Schwab Fall Intercollegiate.
