Illinois State Women’s Golf Concludes Fall Season at Lady Redwolves Classic
JONESBORO, Ark. — The Illinois State women’s golf team wrapped up their fall season with a 17th place finish at the Lady Redwolves Classic, held at Sage Meadows Country Club. The team achieved a total score of 918 over three rounds.
Performance Overview
The performance of the Redbirds was impacted significantly by a sluggish opening round, where they recorded a score of 308. Although they improved in subsequent rounds with scores of 305 each, they ultimately fell behind Southern Illinois University, which surged ahead with a strong final round.
Highlight of the Tournament
Despite the team’s overall positioning, sophomore Elise Fennell distinguished herself by tying for fourth place individually, concluding the tournament with an impressive three-round score of 212.
