iHeart Women’s Sports Welcomes Azzi Fudd to Network
Fudd Around and Find Out
iHeartMedia is marking the one-year anniversary of its innovative platform, iHeart Women’s Sports, which focuses exclusively on women’s sports. This celebration aligns with women’s basketball all-star weekend in Indianapolis and coincides with a notable announcement: Azzi Fudd, the 2025 NCAA Champion and Most Outstanding Player, will join the network, introducing her podcast titled Fudd Around And Find Out. This show is co-produced by Unanimous Media, an organization established by Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton.
Since its launch in 2024, iHeart Women’s Sports has significantly expanded its visibility and influence in the realm of women’s sports. The network has increased coverage from less than 1% to over 34% within just one year, reaching approximately 89 million monthly listeners across nearly 500 broadcast stations. Additionally, half of the new sports podcasts produced by iHeart are dedicated to women’s sports, with download metrics placing its content in the top 10% of all iHeartPodcast shows.
Jessie Katz, Head of iHeart Women’s Sports, commented on this expansion, stating, “Women’s sports is not just having a moment – it’s building undeniable momentum. We launched this platform to give fans deeper access to their favorite players and stories, and we’re just getting started.”
The anniversary event, dubbed “Jam Sessions,” features a lineup of engaging activities, including live podcast tapings, thought-provoking panels, and a celebratory afterparty co-hosted by the New York City hotspot Sei Less. Notable highlights will include a live recording of Emmy-winning journalist Sarah Spain’s Good Game, with Fudd as a special guest, along with a session called Levels to This, hosted by Sheryl Swoopes and Terrika Foster-Brasby.
Azzi Fudd’s new podcast aims to delve into topics beyond basketball, engaging listeners on themes of culture, business, and personal development. Currently pursuing her MBA at the University of Connecticut, Fudd expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, stating, “I’m beyond excited to launch Fudd Around And Find Out with iHeart and Unanimous Media. Whether we’re talking hoops, culture, or life after the game, I want each episode to feel empowering and real.”
Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton have recognized Fudd’s development both as an athlete and a media figure, noting, “Azzi is a game-changer. We’re proud to support her as she steps into this new chapter and continues to uplift women’s sports.”
The “Jam Sessions” event will also feature a performance by rapper and LSU basketball player Flau’jae, showcasing a collaboration with brands such as Capital One, e.l.f. Cosmetics, e.l.f. SKIN, and Novartis.
