MOSCOW, Idaho — The Idaho women’s tennis team has successfully extended its winning streak with impressive victories over the University of Wyoming (6-1) and the University of the Pacific (5-2).
Victory Against Wyoming
In their matchup against the Cowboys on Friday, the Vandals clinched a dominant 6-1 win. Lena Beckx and Ida Johansson set the tone for the match by securing a strong doubles victory with a score of 6-3. Hot on their heels, the pair of Hannah Koprowska and Diana Khaydarshina also claimed a 6-3 win in doubles, ensuring Idaho captured the crucial first point.
Idaho’s singles play showcased their strength, with five out of six players earning victories. Notably, Annabel Davis delivered an outstanding performance, winning her sets 6-1 and 7-6.
Sweeping the Pacific Challenge
Building on their success, the Vandals faced the University of the Pacific on Sunday, adding a fourth consecutive win to their record. Once again, Idaho gained an early advantage by claiming the doubles point. Beckx and Johansson dominated their match with a 6-1 triumph, while Koprowska and Khaydarshina followed suit with a 6-2 win.
As singles play commenced, four Vandals emerged victorious, securing the overall win for Idaho. Naomi Schraeder displayed remarkable resilience after dropping her first set (6-7), swiftly rebounding to win the next two sets 6-4. Additional points for Idaho were earned by Koprowska (6-0, 6-3), Rodas (6-0, 6-3), and Chenyue Xu (7-6, 6-1).

Following these triumphs, the Idaho women’s tennis team will continue their home stretch, hosting Eastern Washington on March 2 at 11 a.m. in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
