SEARCY — The Harding University women’s basketball team has made a remarkable leap in the WBCA NCAA Division II Top 25 Coaches’ Poll, now positioned at No. 10 following a significant 15-spot rise, according to the latest rankings released on November 18, 2025.
The Lady Bisons, boasting a perfect record of 2-0, accumulated 290 total points in the poll, marking one of the most impressive improvements in this early stage of the season. Previously, they entered the season ranked No. 25 in the preseason poll.
This notable ascent places Harding among the elite collegiate teams, as they have outperformed several historically strong competitors, including Union (TN), which has slipped from No. 2 to a tie for No. 12 with a 2-2 record as of the latest updates.
Currently, Grand Valley State holds the top position in the rankings, having secured 23 first-place votes and a total of 575 points, while Pittsburg State and Fort Hays State have moved up to the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively.
The Lady Bisons aim to strengthen their top-10 status as they navigate through their non-conference schedule prior to the commencement of Great American Conference play. This latest ranking represents the highest position for the Harding program since they wrapped up the 2017 season ranked No. 4 nationally.
