Carleton College’s Preisser Recognized as MIAC Athlete of the Week
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Hannah Preisser, a senior at Carleton College, has earned the distinction of MIAC Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the period of September 8-14. This accolade marks her eighth career weekly award from the conference, with five of those awarded for her performance in cross country.
On September 12, Preisser secured the individual championship at the Hamline Invite, marking her sixth victory at the collegiate level. Making her season debut, she finished the race with a time of 21:40.9, winning by an impressive margin of over 25 seconds. Her performance played a crucial role in leading the No. 21-ranked Carleton team to a collective victory over seven other competing teams.
Throughout her athletic career, Preisser has also achieved recognition in track and field, receiving one MIAC Athlete of the Week honor for indoor track and two more for outdoor track events.
The Knights are set to compete next on Saturday, September 20, at the St. Olaf Invitational.
