Chicago Police Report Armed Robbery Incident
Early Wednesday morning, a robbery at gunpoint took place in Little Village, according to authorities. The incident unfolded around 2:35 a.m. in the 3000-block of South Komensky Avenue.
Overview of the Incident
A 20-year-old woman was sitting in her vehicle when a dark-colored sedan approached her. Three male suspects exited the car, brandishing firearms, and demanded her belongings.
The woman complied with the suspects’ demands. Following the robbery, they fled the scene in their vehicle. Fortunately, the victim was not physically harmed during the ordeal, though she reported feeling shaken.
Victim’s Experience
In a statement, the victim expressed that “they dragged me out of my truck and they are about to take me with them but then they are like ‘What is your pin?’ like they were getting my card info and I gave them my card info and they just told me to turn around.”
Following the incident, authorities were able to recover her cell phone, which was found a few blocks away from the scene.
Investigation Status
Currently, no suspects have been taken into custody, and the police investigation is ongoing. Area Four detectives are actively working on the case.
Authorities continue to encourage anyone with information about the robbery to come forward to aid in the investigation.
