UIndy Women’s Golf Team Set for GLVC Championships
The University of Indianapolis (UIndy) women’s golf team is gearing up for the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Championships, which will take place at the Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, Illinois. This marks the 26th annual edition of the event, returning to its venue for the second consecutive year.
Championship Details
The tournament is scheduled to commence on Friday, April 25, featuring a 56-hole stroke play format spread over two days. This initial stage will determine both the individual medalist and the top four teams. The leading teams will then advance to the medal/match play phase on Sunday to compete for the championship title.
Defending Champions
Last year, UIndy’s women’s golf team captured the conference championship, triumphing against Maryville in the semifinals and overcoming UMSL in the finals. This year, they aim to secure back-to-back titles with a strong lineup, including returning players Macey Brown, Caroline Whallon, and Ava Ray.
