Grace Summerhays Named 2025 Big 12 Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year
IRVING, Texas – In a significant recognition, Grace Summerhays of the Sun Devil Women’s Golf team has been honored as the 2025 Big 12 Women’s Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year. This announcement marks a noteworthy achievement for Summerhays, reflecting her exemplary prowess both on the golf course and in academics.
A Stellar Academic and Athletic Career
Summerhays is concluding one of the most decorated careers in Arizona State women’s golf history. Her selection as the top student-athlete in the conference underscores her accomplishments, as noted by coaches from competing teams.
Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye emphasized her pride in Summerhays’s achievement, stating, “This is a tremendous honor and reflects Grace’s dedication to Arizona State, our golf team, and being a student-athlete. The Sun Devil team, currently ranked No. 8, is set to participate in the 2025 Gold Canyon NCAA Regional from May 5-7, hosted at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club in Gold Canyon, Arizona.
