KEARNEY, Neb. — In an exciting season opener, the No. 7 ranked Pittsburg State University edged out Northern State University with a final score of 58-55 during the MIAA/NSIC Crossover at the UNK Health & Sports Center on November 14. The Gorillas maintained their lead throughout the overtime period after the Wolves mounted a comeback in the fourth quarter.

Hannah Miller was a standout performer for Pittsburg State, achieving a career-high of 20 points in the game. Her shooting was efficient, hitting 8 of 14 attempts from the field, along with contributing four rebounds and three assists. Freshman Marin Adams also made an impressive debut, scoring 16 points and grabbing six rebounds.
