Successful Fundraiser at Blue Lake Golf Club for Breast Cancer Awareness
Event Highlights
Last week, the Blue Lake Golf Club’s annual fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Awareness Group showcased both the community spirit and the camaraderie of its female participants. Under favorable weather conditions, the event successfully raised $1,000, with additional contributions anticipated from an ambrose tournament that took place on October 12, generously sponsored by OG Roberts dealership.
Purpose of the Fundraiser
The funds generated from this event will support the “Helping Hand Bags,” which contain vouchers and essential items aimed at assisting individuals undergoing breast cancer treatment, often necessitating frequent travel to Adelaide for care.
Presentation and Acknowledgments
A presentation ceremony honored representatives Jill Gilmore and Loraine Baron, conducted by Beryl Mahoney, Bev Pascoe, and Karen Panagopoulos. The event’s cheerful atmosphere was further enhanced by the timely arrival of rain, which came after participants had already retreated to the clubhouse.
