The newly crafted panel consists of three distinguished experts:
- Brian Adams: Professor in the Political Science Department at San Diego State University, he is the author of “Campaign Finance in Local Elections: Buying the Grassroots.” His work critically examines the effects of campaign finance on the democratic nature of local elections.
- Lucas Robinson: An investigative reporter at the San Diego Union-Tribune, he will discuss recent findings regarding SANDAG’s challenges with no-bid contracting.
- David Edward Burke: Founder of Citizens Take Action, David advocates for enhanced political representation at the grassroots level. His extensive experience spans legal work in Congress and various nonprofit initiatives.
