Tournament Overview
This weekend, the Kennesaw State University (KSU) women’s tennis team will head to Statesboro, Georgia, to participate in the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout. Following a successful outing at the Mercer Gridiron Classic, the Owls are eager to build on their momentum and secure additional victories.
Match Schedule and Format
The tournament will kick off on Friday and conclude on Sunday. Daily matches will start at 9 a.m., with doubles matches leading off, followed by singles play.
- Doubles Format: One 6-game set, no-ad scoring, following NCAA Division I regulations.
- Singles Format: Compass draws for 16 players.
Team Roster
The lineup for KSU includes a competitive group of athletes such as Ema Baraniakova, Terezia Baraniakova, Laura Nadaska, Sofia Madrid, Izabelle Persson, Che Nel, Maria Ivankovic, and Irene Serrano, who will all participate in both singles and doubles events.
Understanding Fall Tennis
The fall season primarily consists of individual tournaments, while team competitions are centered in the spring. The Owls are set to engage in multiple tournaments this fall, including the ITA Southeast Regional and the Wofford Invite, in addition to the aforementioned Georgia Southern event.
