Hamilton College Women’s Cross Country Team Shines with All-Region Honors
On November 18, four remarkable athletes from the Hamilton College women’s cross country team were celebrated by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The organization announced the all-region honorees for the 2024 NCAA Division III cross country season.
Athletes earned all-region recognition by finishing in the top 35 at one of the 10 regional sites held on November 16. It is important to note that only athletes from USTFCCCA member institutions are eligible for these prestigious awards.
Among the honorees were Taylor Harris ’26 from New York, N.Y., Sylvie Najarian ’25 from Woodcliff Lake, N.J., Emily Pogozelski ’26 from Garden City, N.Y., and Keira Rogan ’28 from Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Najarian was recognized as an all-region athlete for the second consecutive time, while Harris celebrated her third all-region distinction.
Leading the pack in the NCAA Niagara Regional Championships at the Fredonia State University Cross Country Course, Rogan clinched an impressive second place out of 154 finishers with a superb 6-kilometer time of 21:18.8. Following closely, Najarian secured 16th place with a time of 22:57.2, and Harris finished just behind her in 17th place at 22:57.3.
