Empower Your Fitness Journey with the Women’s Triathlon Training Program

Exercise contributes significantly to mental well-being, yet many women may feel uncertain about how to begin their fitness journey. The Females in Training (FIT) program, based in Canberra, is designed to tackle these challenges head-on.

Introducing the Women’s Triathlon Training Program (WTTP)

The WTTP is a spring/summer initiative aimed at women interested in learning about triathlon. This nine-week program caters to varying fitness levels, whether you’re an occasional jogger or a curious novice.

Participants will benefit from:

  • Three weekly coached training sessions
  • A FIT membership extending until June 2026, which includes a Triathlon Australia Basic Membership for training insurance
  • An orientation night to connect with coaches and fellow participants
  • Workshops on injury prevention, shoe selection, bike maintenance, and mindset building
  • Lake swim familiarization, a FIT running t-shirt, and exclusive discounts at The Runners Shop in Phillip
  • Celebration at the program’s conclusion

Special Offer: Scholarships Available

This year, FIT is pleased to announce five scholarships available for eligible participants. Further details will be provided at the upcoming information night, which will cover everything you need to know about the program.

Important Dates to Remember

Mark your calendars for the following key dates:

  • Free Online Information Session: Monday, 25 August
  • Program Start Date: Monday, 9 September
  • Canberra Triathlon Event: Sunday, 23 November
  • Registration Deadline: Friday, 5 September or until spots are filled

Eligibility and Requirements

The program is welcoming to all women aged 18 and above. The only prerequisite is a basic swimming ability; if you can swim a few laps, you’re ready to join!

Training sessions will be conveniently organized at central locations in Canberra, ensuring easy integration into your weekly routine.

Join Us Virtually

If you’re intrigued but uncertain, consider attending the free information session on 25 August at 7 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to hear from past participants and coaches.
