Annual Go Red for Women Luncheon Supports Heart Health Initiatives

Published by WTOC | October 2025

Event Overview

The American Heart Association’s Southern Coast hosted its annual “Go Red for Women” luncheon at the Savannah Country Club on Wednesday. This event celebrated women’s health and awareness while actively contributing to cardiovascular research.

Fashion Meets Fundraising

This year, the luncheon featured an engaging fashion show where local personalities took to the runway, including WTOC’s own Tyler Manion, Andrew Gorton, and Joe Hennessy. Their participation highlighted the blend of fashion and philanthropy, showcasing the community’s commitment to health initiatives.

The Go Red Movement

The “Go Red for Women” initiative aims to empower women by mobilizing their passion and collective strength to combat heart disease, which remains a leading cause of death among females. Through events like this luncheon, the movement raises essential funds for education, research, and resources aimed at promoting heart health.

Impact of Contributions

  • Supports vital cardiovascular research for women.
  • Raises awareness about heart disease and its prevention.
  • Enhances community education around women’s health issues.
