2025 Zenith Women’s Basketball Premier League Kicks Off with New Prize Structure
New Rewards and Prize Money
Zenith Bank, the sponsor of the Zenith Women’s Basketball Premier League, has announced enhanced prize offerings for the 2025 season. The top prize has been raised to ₦7.5 million as the Final 8 tournament begins on September 16.
In addition, the runners-up will receive ₦5 million, while the third-placed team will walk away with ₦3 million. Individual performances will also be recognized, with awards of ₦500,000 each for categories such as most valuable player, highest scorer, highest assist, top rebounder, and most three-pointers. Conference winners will additionally secure ₦1 million.
Final 8 Tournament Details
The Final 8 tournament will take place at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, from September 16 to 20. This venue has been recently upgraded to enhance the experience for both fans and players.

- Bayelsa Blue Whales
- First Bank
- Royal Aces
- Dolphins
- MFM
- Nigeria Customs
- Titans
Broadcast and Community Involvement
This year, the league aims to increase visibility by broadcasting the games live across various platforms and utilizing digital tracking through the FIBA system. Additionally, to create a lively atmosphere, over 20 secondary schools and several universities in Lagos will be invited to attend and support the games.
