Head Coach Rafa Simoes

He secured his inaugural win as a head coach last week with a 1-0 victory over Belmont.
Pre-Match Insights
The Herd kicked off the season positively with a 3-0 victory against Morehead State, marking their first road win since the previous season. As they return home, the team aims to improve upon last season’s record of 3-3-2 at Hoops Family Field. This year, Marshall’s roster includes 15 returning players along with 12 newcomers, two of whom—Marcella Alves and Tiggi Gent—found the net in the season opener. Senior Bailey Fisher also contributed by scoring the first goal, boosting her status as a key player with six game-winning goals, currently tied for fourth in the program’s all-time list.
About Glenville State Pioneers
Glenville State enters this match following a record-setting season in 2023, achieving a total of seven wins and marking a notable improvement for the program in just its eighth year of existence. Head Coach J.R. Dodson, now in his fifth year, looks to capitalize on this momentum as the teams face off for their first regular-season encounter.
