2025 Binghamton Women’s Soccer Schedule Announced
VESTAL, N.Y. – Neel Bhattacharjee, in his tenth season as head coach for the Binghamton women’s soccer team, has officially released the fall schedule for the 2025 season. The Bearcats are set to launch their 16-game campaign with an opening match at Lehigh on August 17, featuring eight non-conference matches before diving into America East play.
Preseason and Prep
“Our team is excited to come back in a month to begin preseason,” Bhattacharjee stated. “We are coming off a productive spring and will be pumped to be back together to prepare for competitive matches. We’re looking forward to being back together and starting our journey for what should be an exciting fall.”
Challenging Non-Conference Slate
The Bearcats will face a diverse range of opponents from various leagues, including the ACC, CAA, Atlantic 10, Ivy League, Patriot League, and MAAC. The schedule involves a tough start on the road, with three of the first four games taking place away from home. Following the opener at Lehigh, the home season kicks off against St. Bonaventure on August 21, leading into matchups against reigning CAA runner-up Monmouth and MAAC opponent Marist within five days. Last season, Monmouth achieved a notable 12 victories and reached the CAA finals.
Strong Opposition to Foster Growth
“Our non-conference schedule will test us with strong opponents,” added Bhattacharjee. “Playing that high-level opposition will give us the competition needed to prepare for our rigorous America East slate, where our ambition will, as always, be to compete for regular season and postseason titles.”
September Matches and Rivalries
After hosting George Washington from the A-10 on August 31, Binghamton will travel for a match against ACC member Syracuse on September 4. The Bearcats will also renew rivalries with regional teams Colgate and Cornell as they conclude their non-conference schedule.
America East Conference Play
The America East campaign begins on September 21 with a home match against UMBC. Key home fixtures include an October 5 clash with reigning conference champion Maine and the annual showdown with SUNY rival UAlbany on October 16. The regular season concludes with a Senior Day matchup against Vermont on October 26.
Postseason Prospects
The top six teams from the conference will qualify for the tournament, with the first round commencing on November 2. Semifinal games, hosted by the top two teams in the standings, will take place on November 6, leading to the championship on November 9. The America East champion earns an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Binghamton has successfully reached the postseason for six consecutive years, making it to the semifinals in the last three seasons and claiming two of the last three America East regular season titles.
