ANEW Hosts Priscilla Shirer’s “Going Beyond” Simulcast Conference in Gainesville
On Saturday, October 11, Gainesville-based anti-sex trafficking organization ANEW will present a unique opportunity for women to engage and be inspired through an in-person simulcast of Priscilla Shirer’s “Going Beyond” conference. This faith-based event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Salt Church, located at 8105 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville.
Event Overview
The conference aims to inspire, empower, and connect women within North Central Florida by sharing biblical teachings and the love of Jesus through Shirer’s insights. The event will also serve as a fundraising platform to support ANEW’s initiatives.
Featured Speakers and Activities
Attendees will benefit from worship sessions led by Anthony Evans, Shirer’s brother and a talented singer-songwriter. Tickets are available for $39.19 and include lunch.
Mission and Impact
All proceeds from the event will directly support ANEW’s efforts to assist female survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation. These efforts include survivor care, outreach programs, awareness campaigns, and prevention initiatives. Alison Ungaro, the founder and executive director of ANEW, emphasized the event’s purpose, stating, “This will truly be a day of women supporting women and making an eternal impact outside of the walls of our conference.”
