Telangana Jagruthi Launches Political Training for Future Leaders

In a significant move aimed at fostering future political leaders, K. Kavitha, president of Telangana Jagruthi and BRS MLC, announced a new training initiative designed for youth, women, and students lacking prior political experience. The program is named “Leader” and was officially unveiled at her residence in Hyderabad.

Enhancing Youth Participation in Politics

Ms. Kavitha underscored the crucial role of youth in shaping a progressive political landscape, noting that Telangana has a rich history of youthful dynamism. She expressed the organization’s commitment to instilling a strong political consciousness among younger generations, thus encouraging active participation in governance.

Details of the Political Training Program

  • Session Schedule: Three-day training sessions will be organized monthly, with the inaugural session commencing in July in Hyderabad. Subsequent sessions will roll out across various districts starting in August.
  • Target Audience: The program is targeted at students, youth, and women, emphasizing inclusivity in political education.
  • Key Topics: Training will encompass essential subjects such as the responsibilities of elected representatives, identifying and tackling public issues, and mobilizing development funds.

Commitment to Backward Classes and Women’s Representation

Ms. Kavitha reaffirmed Telangana Jagruthi’s ongoing efforts to secure 42% reservations for Backward Classes in local body elections. She further highlighted the necessity of preparing women leaders for upcoming parliamentary and assembly elections, especially in light of the Women’s Reservation Act, which allocates 33% of seats for women in legislative bodies. With impending changes in assembly and Lok Sabha seat allocations due to delimitation, Kavitha stressed the importance of preparing well-informed and capable leaders for future challenges.

Conclusion

This initiative reflects Telangana Jagruthi’s dedication to nurturing capable leaders among the youth and women of Telangana, ensuring their voices are heard and represented in the political sphere.
