On a vibrant Wednesday evening, the Young Women’s Resource Center (YWRC) in Des Moines held a community event in collaboration with Up-Down, aimed at empowering young girls and women aged 10 to 24. This fundraiser, titled “Coins for a Cause,” brought together community members to support the nonprofit’s vital initiatives.
Erin Moran, the Communications Director of YWRC, expressed appreciation for the overwhelming community support: “The success of a nonprofit depends on the community it’s in, and we’re fortunate to have such a generous one investing in our girls today and for their future.”
During the fundraiser, 100% of token sales at Up-Down were designated to support YWRC’s essential counseling, educational, and advocacy programs. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in games while contributing to a meaningful cause, highlighting the power of community-driven support.
