The Khelo India ASMITA Football League for the 2025-26 season was inaugurated by Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports. During her address at the Godavari Engineering College Ground, Khadse remarked that the league serves as a platform “where passion turns into performance.” She highlighted that this event transcends mere competition and is intended to dismantle barriers while creating pathways for girls to excel in sports.

Inauguration Attendance
The launch was graced by notable figures, including Ketakitai Patil, Farukh Shaikh (Secretary of the Jalgaon District Football Association), and representatives from the college administration. The organization of the league is in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, with backing from the Sports Authority of India, the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and the Western India Football Association (WIFA). This robust support represents a decisive move toward achieving gender equity in the realm of sports.
