Empowering Women Through Fitness at the Hirakani Run
Pune: In a powerful display of unity and strength, hundreds of women came together in Pune for the inaugural ‘Hirakani Run’, an event designed to champion women’s safety, empowerment, self-confidence, and self-reliance while promoting fitness.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as participants collectively declared, “We are safe and empowered.” This affirmation echoed the spirit of the event, which was organized by Sai Janseva Pratishthan.
A Celebration of Female Strength
More than 1,200 women from Pune and other regions of Maharashtra participated in this remarkable women’s half marathon. The event kicked off at Baburao Sanas Ground, located near Sarasbaug, featuring diverse running categories: 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km. Each segment of the marathon not only showcased individual effort but also fostered a collective celebration of resilience and empowerment among women.
