The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is undergoing a groundbreaking transformation to enhance the involvement of women within its organizational structure. This significant change aligns with the party’s preparations for the implementation of a new law aimed at reserving one-third of seats in state assemblies and the Lok Sabha specifically for women.
Increased Representation in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar
In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has set ambitious plans to appoint between seven to eight women as district presidents across its 62 districts, a remarkable leap from the previous absence of female leaders in these roles. Meanwhile, in Bihar, the party has also designated two women as district presidents, forming part of a broader national organizational overhaul focused on female leadership.
