The JICA–India Women’s Leadership & Coaching Empowerment Program was inaugurated at the Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati on Wednesday. This week-long initiative, collaborated by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, JICA, and Japan’s Nippon Sport Science University (NSSU), aims to foster women’s leadership and engagement in sports coaching.

The program is being spearheaded by Dr. Masamitsu Ito, a distinguished professor at NSSU and the Director of the NSSU Coach Developer Academy (NCDA). He is accompanied by a team of professionals skilled in coaching education, program facilitation, and implementation.
