Empowering Women for Career Success Ahead of International Women’s Day
An upcoming event aims to “empower and inspire” women in their career paths as International Women’s Day approaches, according to event organizers.
Scheduled for March 5, the Coventry Job Shop will take place in the heart of the city, designed to introduce women to industries they may not have previously explored.
Each session will accommodate up to 100 women, providing them the opportunity to learn from professionals in various sectors, including construction, manufacturing, and the armed forces.
Coventry City Councillor Kindy Sandhu encourages “all women seeking their next career move” to participate in this empowering initiative.
Participating employers and training organizations feature notable names such as Balfour Beatty, an infrastructure company, and the British Army, showcasing diverse career options.
Hosted by Coventry City Council, the jobs initiative aims to create “a safe and welcoming environment” to facilitate pathways into employment, education, and training for women.
Attendees will have the chance to apply for jobs directly during the sessions and connect with providers to acquire the necessary qualifications for various roles.
