If you’re eager to discover what Virginia Beach’s women-owned enterprises have to offer, the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD) provides a comprehensive directory of small, women, and minority-owned (SWaM) businesses.
Participate in Expert-Led Workshops
The HIVE, a local business resource center, is hosting a series of informative workshops this month. Two local women business leaders will facilitate FREE training sessions aimed at enhancing skills for entrepreneurs and professionals:
- Contract Basics 101: What is a Contract?
- Preventing Burnout: Listening to Your Body, Focusing Your Energy
On Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon, SWaM-certified attorney Nakisha Roberts, founder of Reviewed By Roberts PLLC, will guide participants through fundamental contract concepts, differentiating various agreement types, and explaining standard terminology associated with contracts.
On Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., executive and life coach Karen Price Owen will address the critical issue of burnout among women entrepreneurs, providing insights into self-care as a foundation for enduring business success.
