“The Delightful Run for Women has always been about more than just running; it’s about lifting each other up. We’re proud to support local nonprofits that do incredible work year-round, and this is our way of saying thank you to a community that has supported this event for 47 years. When we empower these organizations, we empower the women and families they serve.”
Community Support Recognized
Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan spoke to the longstanding impact of the event. She remarked,
“Each year the Delightful Run for Women helps support nonprofits, programming, and community throughout the Capital Region. This nearly 50-year-old tradition has been instrumental for young women in our city, and the work done by the organizations receiving these awards will extend far beyond the run itself.”
