Empowering Black Women’s Voices Post-2024 Election
The African American Policy Foundation (AAPF) is hosting an essential panel discussion dedicated to Black women, addressing the impacts and implications of the 2024 elections. This event seeks to elevate the voices of those who represented a significant majority in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris during this pivotal election.
Panel Discussion: “Under the Blacklight”
Entitled “Under the Blacklight: Views from the 92% Black Women Reflect on the 2024 Election and the Road Ahead,” this panel will feature prominent leaders from various Black-led sectors, including Kirsten West Savali, Vice President of Content at iOne Digital.

Cristina Crenshaw has been forthright regarding the election outcomes, cautioning that “the looming dominance within our party could unveil severe threats to Black communities, immigrants, women, the LGBTQ+ community, and others.”
AAPF’s Activism and Goals
AAPF has remained a vital force throughout the 2024 political landscape, organizing discussions around the stakes that accompanied Election Day through its Race-Forward Messaging Project. The initiative aims to reshape voter engagement narratives, particularly focusing on communities of color. By amplifying “racial justice voters,” those rallied by the fight for equity, AAPF endeavors to shift the focus away from traditional strategies that prioritize white voters.
Founded in 1996, AAPF describes itself as an innovative think tank that bridges academia, activism, and policy-making to dismantle structural inequality, advancing racial justice and gender equity both in the U.S. and globally.
