Women in Mining Africa (WiM-Africa) has formed a strategic alliance with Resourcing Tomorrow and Mines and Money London 2025. This collaboration aims to enhance gender equity throughout the mineral value chain in Africa.

According to Comfort Asokoro-Ogaji, Executive Director of WiM-Africa, this partnership marks a pivotal step in elevating the voice of African women in the global mining discourse. The initiative promises to facilitate representation and promote gender-inclusive development in the sector.
“The partnership is more than just an opportunity to attend a global conference—it is a platform for representation,” said Asokoro-Ogaji.
She emphasizes that the collaboration ensures African women have a substantial role in discussions regarding investments, sustainability, and innovations critical for the future of mining.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate, applicants must meet certain criteria:
- Currently employed in a qualifying mining or energy company.
- Company’s market capitalization must exceed USD $500 million.
- Hold a position that influences purchasing, operations, legal, human resources, government, or technology decisions.
Event Participation
Apart from gaining access to the main conference, WiM-Africa will organize a high-level side event during London Mining Week. This exclusive event aims to connect African women leaders with international partners, policymakers, and investors.
