UNESCO Launches 2025 Quantum Technology Course for African Women Scientists

UNESCO is excited to announce the opening of applications for its fully funded Quantum Technology Course in 2025, specifically designed for early-career women scientists residing in Africa. Aimed at enhancing women’s participation in advanced scientific domains, this initiative offers a comprehensive educational experience in quantum science and technology.

Collaboration with ICTP

In partnership with the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), the course provides a unique opportunity for women researchers specializing in fields such as physics, engineering, computer science, and other related areas. Participants will engage in hands-on training, gaining valuable insights into emerging quantum technologies.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants interested in this program must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be women scientists currently residing in Africa.
  • Should possess a PhD or be enrolled in a PhD program within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines.
