LAWRENCE, Kan. – Emmanuel Henderson Jr., a senior wide receiver for the Kansas Jayhawks, has earned a spot on the prestigious Biletnikoff Award Watch List as announced by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation. This award recognizes the most exceptional receivers in college football’s Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), irrespective of their position.

This addition marks the first in-season update to the watch list since its initial release on August 6, highlighting Henderson as one of eleven new players being recognized for their performance.
Impressive Performance Statistics
Hailing from Hartford, Alabama, Henderson currently leads the Jayhawks in receiving through five games. He has recorded 23 receptions totaling 435 yards and four touchdowns. Notably, his scoring plays have included spectacular long-range touchdowns of 93, 75, and 62 yards. His 435 receiving yards rank second in the Big 12 Conference and tenth nationally for the current season.
Historic Game Against Cincinnati
In a standout performance against Cincinnati, Henderson made an immediate impact by taking the first offensive play for a remarkable 93-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jalon Daniels. Later in the game, he exhibited his speed once again, breaking free for a second touchdown of 75 yards in the third quarter, making him the first player this season in the FBS to achieve two receiving touchdowns of over 75 yards in the same game. He concluded the match with an impressive total of 214 receiving yards, placing him fourth in school history for a single game performance, alongside two touchdowns.

Henderson is currently one among four FBS players this season who has registered over 200 receiving yards and at least two touchdowns in a single game, with the additional distinction of being the only player to accomplish this feat against a conference rival.
