EliseAI Secures $250 Million in Series E Funding for Healthcare Automation
EliseAI, a company specializing in AI-driven automation solutions, has successfully raised $250 million in its Series E funding round, with leadership from Andreessen Horowitz. This financial boost aims to further develop its platforms in healthcare and housing automation. Notable participants in this funding round include Bessemer Venture Partners, Sapphire Ventures, and Navitas Capital.
Addressing Costly Inefficiencies in Healthcare
EliseAI’s healthcare automation technology addresses significant administrative inefficiencies that are estimated to cost the U.S. healthcare system over $600 billion each year. Its platform effectively manages complex workflows such as scheduling, prior authorizations, and patient intake, leading to reductions in overhead costs by up to 25% and shorter wait times for patients.
Enhancing Women’s Healthcare Services
Particularly impactful in women’s healthcare, EliseAI’s automation tools tackle the challenges associated with complex scheduling and specialized care coordination. For instance, Women’s Health CT – Obstetrics & Gynecology has successfully integrated EliseAI’s call center automation to enhance operational efficiency and improve patient experiences.
“EliseAI has transformed our OB GYN call center operations by streamlining complex workflows, reducing patient wait times, improving operational efficiency, and elevating the customer experience,” said Dr. Pierre Hage of Women’s Health CT – Obstetrics & Gynecology. “With EliseAI, we’re on the path to achieving 24/7/365 comprehensive practice management for our patients and staff.”
Comprehensive Automation for Healthcare and Beyond
The AI platform is designed to automate front-desk and call center processes that require significant manual effort, particularly within women’s health practices. Tasks such as managing appointment scheduling for specialized services, processing insurance prior authorizations, and addressing detailed patient concerns are streamlined through EliseAI’s solutions.
Expansion and Growth Milestones
Since raising a previous $75 million in its Series D round in August 2024, EliseAI has doubled its workforce from 150 to over 300 employees, exceeding $100 million in annual recurring revenue. The company now provides automation solutions across various healthcare specialties while also serving housing operators.
Future Directions
“EliseAI is built on the belief that AI can dramatically improve how critical industries operate,” stated Minna Song, Co-Founder and CEO of EliseAI. “For an average American, healthcare and housing represent approximately 40% of household spending. These two systems are notoriously complex, outdated, and painful to navigate.”
The new funding will facilitate team expansion in engineering, customer experience, sales, and operations, paving the way for EliseAI’s growth in cities such as New York, San Francisco, Boston, and Chicago. The company aims to tackle labor shortages and high turnover rates, especially prevalent in specialized healthcare practices like women’s health.
