DS PENSKE has announced the signing of two talented drivers, Jessica Edgar and Lindsay Marie Brewer, for the upcoming Women’s Test at the prestigious Formula E event. Both competitors bring diverse motorsport backgrounds and a strong desire to contribute to the growth of women in this industry.
Jessica Edgar, a native of the UK, comes from a motorsport family and has been racing in karts since 2010. She ventured into single-seater racing in 2022 with the newly established GB4 Championship, securing a podium finish at Oulton Park. Edgar’s accomplishments continued in 2023 as she participated in the inaugural F1 Academy, where she achieved four podiums, including a victory. Currently, she competes in the British Kart Championship and the Super 4 in KZ2. Edgar expressed her enthusiasm for returning to DS PENSKE, stating, “I’m really excited to be back with DS PENSKE for the Women’s Test. It feels great to continue this journey with the team after such a positive experience last year. I’ve learned so much from everyone at DS PENSKE, and I’m looking forward to building on that foundation, gaining more experience in the car, and contributing to the continued growth of women in motorsport.”
Lindsay Brewer hails from Colorado and has built a solid resume in motorsport, previously competing in Indy Pro 2000 and Indy NXT. She is currently racing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, where she recently celebrated a victory at Road America. Brewer conveyed her excitement about joining the Women’s Test, remarking, “I’m truly honored to be part of the Women’s Testing Session with DS PENSKE. This is an incredible opportunity to experience the Formula E environment firsthand and to collaborate with such a talented and accomplished team. I’m excited to learn as much as possible, contribute to the program, and make the most of this experience.”
Testing Schedule and Women’s Test Details
In a recent announcement, Formula E confirmed the details for the preseason schedule set to take place in Valencia. The Women’s Test, which emphasizes the participation of female racers, is set for October 31, offering double the track time for the best women drivers globally. Alongside the Women’s Test, all teams will test their Season 12 machinery from October 27-30 at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, marking the only opportunity for collective on-track activity before the official season commencement in São Paulo on December 6.
