MOBILE, Ala. – Young women representing all 50 states have converged in Mobile as they prepare for the 68th annual national finals of the Distinguished Young Women program. The event, set to take place from June 26 to June 28, 2025, will showcase contestants in multiple areas, including scholastics, interview, talent, fitness, and self-expression.
Shayla Holloway, a participant representing Alabama, shared her enthusiasm with Fox 10. “The opportunity that all the national representatives have to come where I represent here in Mobile County and Alabama and I get to show them around the amazing town and all it has to offer is just so amazing, and I’m so grateful,” she expressed.
During the three-day event, over $130,000 in cash scholarships will be awarded to the contestants. Since its inception, the Distinguished Young Women program has granted more than one billion dollars in scholarships, highlighting its commitment to empowering young women.
