In the growing landscape of wedding destinations, Northern Arizona stands out, thanks to local businesses like One Hundred Chairs. Owned by sisters Annie Sharp and Holly Jones, this rental company specializes in delivering distinctive furniture and décor, aimed at crafting memorable events.
Customized Event Solutions
One Hundred Chairs emphasizes flexibility and personalization in its services. Sharp states, “We can help with designs and details. It’s a la carte, so we can do whatever is needed to meet the customer’s needs.” This customer-centric approach sets them apart in the competitive event planning market.
A Journey of Transformation
The sisters took over the business in 2017, aiming to create lasting memories for their clients. Jones, with a background in rodeo, and Sharp, who has experience in social work, bring unique perspectives to their operations. Both are Prescott natives, with a history of community involvement and educational achievements that complement their business efforts.
“Owning One Hundred Chairs allows us to become more involved with the community,” Sharp mentioned. Under their leadership, the company has significantly expanded its inventory and operational capacity.
Growing a Team
Starting with just the two of them, the business now employs five part-time workers, primarily young individuals gaining real-world skills. “Many of them have gone on to be successful in other areas,” said Sharp. “It has been bittersweet because we love seeing their success, but we hate to see them leave.”
Facility Expansion
Once operating out of a single shed, One Hundred Chairs has grown into a 2,000-square-foot warehouse, serving not only the local region but also extending services beyond Arizona.
Artistry and Business Acumen Combined
Sharp and Jones have distinct roles within the company that allow them to effectively manage operations. Sharp focuses on logistics and client interaction, while Jones brings an artistic flair to the designs, ensuring that their events are both beautiful and tailored to individual preferences.
“Everything we do is based on customer service. We have unique items, and we want customers to feel that they are given personalized care,” stated Sharp, reflecting the company’s commitment to quality and service.
Showcasing Talent at Community Events
The artistry of One Hundred Chairs will be highlighted at the upcoming Prescott Area ATHENA Awards, scheduled from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, September 14, at Starting Point. Sharp noted, “We appreciate that Quad Cities Business News celebrates and recognizes community leaders.”
